Morning ladies,

Wanna apologise if this grosses anyone out, but I’m just concerned because I’ve heard moulds can be harmful to inhale.

I have some in the living room bedroom right behind the headboard of the bed and also behind our little girls cot.

Any suggestions on what to do? I’m seeing the midwife at 1 today and was planning on showing her the pics not sure if there’s much they can do.

You would be surprised how many terraced houses have this problem not much you can do we used to use mould paint but it’s the rising heat In the heat. Only thing I would say is invest in a Dyson air thingy if you can afford but so expensive maybe get family to help out if cleaning bothers you.

@carlybeanw, I’ll go down to the council because they take forever to answer calls and when they answer they hung up straight away after you’ve been waiting for more than 30mins on the phone

@nataja, I’ll contact my health visitor, she was here last week but I didn’t know I had these in the house. So will try to make an appointment with, she’s not far from me if she could come have a look herself would be much better if not I have pictures. Thanks

I started getting mould in my flat. You need to get a spray from wilko or somewhere and treat it scrub the walls and windows and don't sleep in there for the moment. It could be the foundations of the flat but you also need to try to prevent it. I would start cleaning it today asap. Follow the instructions because it's the spores when they are scrubbed that is harmful so don't scrub just wipe with a cloth but like I said read the instructions carefully and wear mask over your mouth and nose x

Unfortunately the council do expect you to try and get rid of it yourself before they will do anything. Had this with my council 😴 still report it. Mould spray to clean it all off then cover with mould coat paint. The council will need to come find out whats causing it though x

@katiechurchill, yea council, but it’s my ex’s house, we live together and I’m currently battling with council to move out. I didn’t know these moulds were even there, there’s always been the smell, but I didn’t know where it was coming from, today I got fed up and turned everything upside down and found them
