I don't think they do it in Michigan

At my doctors office they drug test your first visit then when you have the baby, if you fail either test they drug test babies first poop.

It's a drug screen for babies done on their stool. Usually if the Dr suspects something they will do the meconium drug screen with the babies first poo after delivery.

I wanna say some states normally do this anyway or if mother has drug use history

Interpretive Data. Meconium begins to form between the 12th and 16th week of gestation. Meconium drug testing can detect maternal drug use during the last 4 to 5 months of pregnancy. A negative result does not exclude the possibility that a mother used drugs during pregnancy.
