Are any other moms dealing with low pelvic pain? I can no longer get up from bed / couch without crying from pain. I am having a very hard time doing normal things such as walking, cleaning, laundry, going to the bathroom by myself. Is it possible that if I explain to my doctor that I will be able to have him induce me?

I have the same pain and my doctor won't do nun about it

@teebaby its just uncomfortable. And my husband works nights so when I need him most he isnt home to help me. We shall see what my doctor says tomorrow at my appointment.

Sounds like round ligament pain and your sciatic nerve is being irritated. I had terrible pains like that. They can’t really do much about it but I was advised to do stretches to help.

Also a heating pad can help. But make sure it’s not too hot. And of course an epsom salt bath. But again make sure it’s not too hot.

@thisisfeeney stretches dont help, if i lean forward too much he kicks me until I lean back. I know my doctor will tell me to walk more and drink water (i go through more water than a fish & walking makes my ankles and legs swell like crazy)

@thisisfeeney i do baths frequently. They help for the 10 minutes im in there and the moment i get out its back to the pain again.

@steph_anie, try the epsom salt bath and the heating pad.
Thisisfeeney·
@steph_anie, how far along are you?
Steph_anie·
@thisisfeeney 36 weeks

@steph_anie, darlin you’re still too early. I know it hard that last month but it’s worth it.

To me it sounds like baby engaging and doing something known as “lightening crotch “ basically hitting every nerve as they do
I’m currently going through the same, it’s a pain in the butt (well , vagina haha) but it’s all good songs that baby is in the right place for birth
Do you have a birthing ball? Doing hip / pelvic exercises on that helps me when it’s really bad
And you can take paracetamol to help with the pain
I know it’s hard, but it’s the final stretch now xx

I'm 29 weeks and having that pain already.
My doctor told me to get a maternity belt to help ease the weight off my hips a bit. I found one that even has a pocket for an ice pad to fit in for back pain, but haven't gotten one yet so idk how well it helps. I had one for my first and remember it would help me feel better.
I usually use a heating pad for a little bit at night for my back pain and it helps. I haven't tried to put it on the pelvic area though. Maybe try a warm Epsom salt bath.

@strange96 i dont have a birthing ball. It doesnt feel like lightening crotch, it honestly feels like period cramps. I honestly cant take it anymore

I'm pretty sure I have this but like above posters have said, doc won't do much about it.

@steph_anie, does it come and go in waves or is it constant? Xx
Steph_anie·
@strange96 it depends. Sometimes ill get comfortable to be able to fall asleep, but the moment im uncomfortable and try to move im back in pain and it takes an hour or two to get comfortable again.
