It really broke my heart to hear my pastor say that “oh you didn’t quite make it to being a mother but you will one day”. Even though he knows that I lost my son last year 😔

@shay2beautiful I went through that for many years at my church. It's cultural and unfortunately callous many a time. They don't think about it past when they see you. You are a mommy and will continue to be a mommy. Keep believing. My church fam don't even know how many babies I've lost. I decided the less they knew the better.

That’s such a terrible thing to say to someone! I’m sorry. Of course you’re still a mom. He obviously doesn’t get how to console a woman who has suffered through such a huge loss. I wouldn’t have been able to hold my tongue or hold back the tears. You’re stronger than I am. ❤️
