How are you spending the day? What would you really rather be doing? What kind of gift do you think you’ll get? What would you pick for yourself?
I’d like to sleep in
Then go to breakfast or have it made for me & dh do the cleanup too
I would like a spa gift card or matching one tired mother and dd can’t stop won’t stop shirts
Sit in bed and watch a couple shows or take a nap
Go to the bathroom alone all day and dh entertain dd so she doesn’t cry ( this alone would be the best lol. This includes showering.
Any of these would be glorious
I think I’ll get up whenever dd gets up
Make breakfast or get Dunkin
I think I’ll get flowers 💐
I’ll only nap if dd does, maybe I’ll get to watch a show
The bathroom isn’t gonna happen

We're supposed to have a fish fry at my mother in laws.
I think I'm going to leave early and get a pedicure and then go to my best friends mom's house kid free and enjoy a drink and the pool in peace with no kids. My husband got me a new fishing shirt and shorts for the boat.
I would love to sleep in and just have a quiet day to myself. Last year I had a spa day and it was amazing..massage, lunch, pedicure. I wish I would have done that this year but I got so much shit from my husband's family for doing that last year which made me think twice about it this year.

DH already told me I can sleep in, which is amazing. And he made reservations for brunch for the 3 of us (after I called a few places & told him we were running out of time!).
In the afternoon we’ll go to my parents’ house for a cookout. My mom & older sister had bdays last week & my dad’s is coming up this week, so with Mother’s Day in the mix it’s always a cluster around this time of year.
Hope you get the day you described, Tara! You deserve it!!! 😘

It is my first Mother's Day today as I'm in Australia 😊 my little miracle is only 5 weeks.
Hubby unfortunately had to work today so I'm spending the day with my mum and bubba. We will have some lunch and probably watch some movies.
There's nothing else I would rather be doing, sounds like a perfect plan, other than sleeping as bub had a rough night last night so we all didn't get much sleep.
Hubby got me gifts "from baby" (so sweet) i got a #babyonboard sticker for my car, this beautiful pendant and YSL Black Opium perfume. I got so spoilt! ❤
I don't know what I would've picked for myself, I'm awful at buying gifts but I think hubby did an amazing job at picking my presents, I was really surprised!

@jessicalaneee, have your MIL host the fish fry sounds nice & leaving early for a pedi sounds even better. A kid free visit with your BFF is the icing on the cake. Dh did a nice job wit the fishing shirt & shorts. No fair about the shit for the spa day, being a Mom is hard. Sorry

@marykaralis, Happy Mother’s Day Mary 💐! I’m so excited you get to sleep in. Being this close to your due date I bet you can sleep all day. I’m so happy dh called about brunch, that sounds very nice. Noting having to cook is a blessing. I love the big celebration for Mother’s Day & birthday’s too. I hope that means cake 🍰. It’s so hard to see loved ones, I’m very glad you get a special day with your family. You deserve it, your one sweet Mama 🤗💕

I love that you get to spend the day with your Mom too. Sleep is just not happening with a 5wo, but next year it can 😂. Have a wonderful day

I woke up to my sweet little boy hugging me and giving me a kiss 😍😍😍
We are visiting at my in-laws. My MIL & FIL are the best! MIL made breakfast for us, and they gave me dragonfly wind chimes for my flower garden. (Dragonfly/garden was our wedding theme 12 years ago- so sweet that my MIL remembers these things!)

I do feel incredibly blessed to have them for in-laws. I know from posts on here/BB that not everyone is so lucky. So I try not to take them for granted.
