So I drink a few cups of rasberry tea (usually hate tea) and I am in so much PAIN! Already 3.5 cm do you guys think it did anything?💁

@vhutcheson09, yes but I drank it throughout my second and third trimester and each night when I had my cup I would have mild cramping right after. I didn’t end up drinking enough at the end for labor because I had to go straight to hospital to be induced but I’m guessing I would have had a lot more cramps if I drank enough. It is meant to tone your uterus muscle so it is stronger and better able to push out baby with less pain but if you drink enough when you are full term it may help trigger actual labor because it is making your uterus tense up. But it also might stop after the tea wears off
@selena_vargas119334, if you’re not full term I would highly advise against drinking the tea. Herbal teas can be dangerous in pregnancy. Full term is 39 weeks
@tacos4lyfe, can I ask why you drank that tea in your second trimester, did your OB advise you to?
@phoebesmommy, it’s more of a “crunchy mama” thing I read about online. I just decided to drink it because I read a lot of good things about it helping with a faster less painful labor
I couldn’t find any info on when it’s safe to consume. Thx for the link
@phoebesmommy, thank you for looking out, but I didn’t plan on drinking it right now. I was just curious.
@ambrerumph1440, used to be but has changed

I had both my daughters at 37 weeks and they were good ole 8lbs and healthy as a horse. Why does it change so much?
I don’t think it changes so much. I think drs need to update themselves
@bbhausfeld77, for some babies that is the case but some babies born at 37 weeks may have issues with lung development
Well I know everyone is different. I’m just saying when I had them that was full term my doctors said.
@bbhausfeld77, I think the change was more recent after studies were done.
