Hello mamas , had an abnormal pep smear, & positive with HPV. Going again in two weeks to be sure ..…

I had an abnormal pap after I had my first son. I had to have a biopsy of my cervix and special Pap smears every 3-6 months for about 2 years, then it all was normal again. Pregnancy can throw everything off. Mine came back somewhat normal this pregnancy. OB said there were just some cells seen that could potentially lead to cervical cancer down the line, so I just have to get paps more often than normal.

I did about 15 years back. I had to keep getting biopsies and then I also had to have cryotherapy where they freeze your cervix to kill off abnormal or precancerous cells.

Ever since then every pap has been clear. No HPV

I wouldn’t worry until you have a reason to. There are lots of diff strains of HPV and there are diff grades of abnormal cells.

All that to say it could be something really small. HPV is really common and sometimes it goes away on its own ☺️
