Okay. So every now and then my 5 year old will shower with me, I’m sometimes hesitant about it but I let him get in, I only hesitate because I don’t like hiding around him because I think that makes them overly curious if I make sense? I know cause my sister doesn’t let her son (he’s 5 Too) see her naked and he will act kinda strange not knowing and it makes him curious .. so when is it like time I say no so he won’t get in with me? 🤨

My son turns 4 on the 3rd and I still let him get in the shower with me some times I don't think there's anything wrong with it yet. He gets curious and ask questions some times but I think that's natural at some point I'll get a feeling like ok that's enough but I haven't gotten to that point yet. I've been using it as a chance to teach him how to start bathing him self he watches how I do it and mimics me then I scrub him down just to make sure he's clean enough

I’ve been wondering about boundaries with sons since I’m having my first son in August. I don’t know what would be appropriate but I think it depends on the family. 5 is still young so I wouldn’t think too much.

Yeah.. I breastfed my son Too so he’s seen boobs, same I try not to be naked around him, and if I do not so long. I have that thought too I know I’m his mom and eventually don’t wanna be seen naked at some point 😆

@richins, yes, that’s the main reason why we started showering together just so I can show him how to shower himself.. but now that he has gotten older he hasn’t gone in at all that much. He showers alone now.. but every now and then I will shower him just to make he’s actually clean😆

I think 5 will be my cutoff year of my boys seeing me naked or showering.

@amberspringer, I also watch him to see if he sees me but he minds his own business.. in the beginning he did ask questions and was surprised he was different lol but I explained that boys and girls and different.

@casanovaivette2711 I can see 6 being a good cut off age I watch my son too. watching how aware he is of me being naked but he could care less still he's to busy rolling around in the water to pay attention lol

I feel like when they start being able to remember and notice the female parts lol. Like who wants to remember their mom naked!?!? Lol!

Every family is different! If you enjoy showers with him, you can always throw on bikini bottoms if you are starting to feel uncomfortable about it. I would def. say by 8 though. If he asks to get in, you can always say, get mommy’s shower shorts first, then you can!
