Still have no idea how to regularly get your babies to sleep only way he'll sleep is if i rock him in his carseat so im terrified for when he will outgrow it ill have no way to put him to sleep like once in a while i try his crib and a couple times hes slept ok but then he gets gas or something that makes him uncomfortable so I have to quickly pick him up place him and rock him in his carseat to put him back to sleep if i leave him or rock him in my arms its not enough :/ and i cant give him a bottle or anything cause hes not hungry he just woke up from gas etc

Ok so maybe have u tried a rock n play or the swing? Maybe he likes his head being elevated while sleeping. Both my boys slept in the rock n play for about 5mths. They didn’t like sleeping straight. I know they are supposed to but my kids wouldn’t sleep if they were laying flat. I’d try those out instead of the car seat if u haven’t already!! What are his sleeping habits right now? He’s still pretty new to the world so it takes time to get adjusted for him. Have u tried baby wearing? That’s super effective with pretty much a newborn. Sorry you’re having a hard time!! It’s an adjustment for all.

But sleep patterns are very important. At 3mths my boys would be up for like 2-3 hours then need another nap. U have to figure out his sleep patterns and let him lead the way. But he really should get out of sleeping in the car seat ASAP. It’s very bad for their spine

Please get him a rock and play, sleeping in the car seat is so unsafe

@eryka616 his head leans sideways all the time in the carseat and hes never had any problems im not concerned at all theres danger in anything kids can die in a crib too

@ib.crazyskittles18, yes but it is way more likely that they die in the car seat than in the crib. You don’t have to listen to me I’m just trying to let you know that it is dangerous.

@eryka616, Is completely correct even with their head to the side sleeping in a car seat babies can lose the ability to protect their airway. You can’t say you don’t have a choice as you absolutely can choose to transition him to sleeping in a safer place. Try a rock n play or speak with your sons Paed to get some information on safe sleep options.

You clearly don’t have to listen to anyone here, but you’re blatantly choosing to put your child’s safety at risk. What you should be doing is seeking out help and resources from professionals on safe options rather then having him sleep in a car seat. No one here can force you to do anything but rather then sit on here and defend your disregard for safety you should be actively seeking help on remedying the situation from a professional like your child’s GP or Paed. As a nurse on the maternity ward who regularly does car seat safety, and also a mom of a child with special needs who lost his own airway in an infant car seat you’re sadly mistaken. It is not safe, and by the looks of your other posts I think you need to seek help and support from those around you.
