What tips you off for ear infection in an infant. My grandma had my 8 month old all week, said she cried non stop, and wouldn't sleep. I chalked it up to her being away from me. But I've had her all day today, and her first nap she slept maybe 15 mins, and has been crying inconsolable all day. Her second nap was 30 Mins cause I held her. Usually she naps for 2-3 hours each nap. Now she's screaming and I can't get her to calm down. I can't decide if it's a growth spurt, or if maybe she has an ear infection.

I just realized she feels warm. Also had diarrhea all week

@lost.sock.thief the only urgent care around closes in less than an hour and her dad's at work. I won't be able til tomorrow.

Laying them down puts pressure on ears. May have to prop mattress up. Rubbing ear gently may help. I'd take to ER, personally. If she's that miserable she must be in a lot of pain. Their ear drums can rupture also.
