Ladies I've never worked a night shift in my life...and to be honest now wasn't a good time to start(at 33weeks). My boss just moved me from day to straight nights.Not only that I will be working a 16 hour shift (6p.m. to 10:00a.m. tomorrow morning) tonight and I can't get my body to go to sleep. It's going to be a rough night.

Man I feel bad for you!! I worked nights many times but not at 32 weeks pregnant I thinks it’s very wrong of your boss to put a pregnant lady on nights clearly they have never been pregnant or have no empathy!! And I can’t say drink any energy drinks because your pregnant but maybe a cup of coffee you will definitely need it to keep you going😘Good luck momma!!

I'd be getting a note from the doctor to stay on days. It's rough.

You can talk to your doctor about getting shorter shifts through a doctor's note

Wow it does sound like your boss is trying to make you quit. Maybe contact HR

yes ask your doctor for a note!! they probably want you to quit so they don’t have to cover your maternity benefits. which if that’s the case you need to go to the HR department and report it. that’s discrimination!

@takesma, yea my job was having me work overtime and my doctor wrote me a note where I could only work 30 hours a week. It helped so much. Another girl I worked with said when she was pregnant she also has a note that said she could only work so many hours a day and needed two days off together at least.
