Only you know answer to that. We don’t know your situation and can’t speak on it completely until you do. If you’re too exhausted, I would tell him that. Let it be known and go from there.

As long as yr financially stable even at part time why not. It be less stress on you. I'd bring it to his attention and see what he thinks about it.

If you’re always sick, how will you work ? I know it’s rough having him away so much but I would talk to him and get his opinion. I stopped working around 8 weeks due to hyperemesis. I’m currently 37 weeks and haven’t worked since, I say home with our 2yr old. Hubby is currently the only one working and although he works the standard 40 hours a week plus some OT here and there, I still miss him and I feel bad he’s the only one working. I voiced my concerns to him and he assured me he’s ok and doesn’t want me to go back to work until I’m ready. He also made it clear I don’t have to find another job after the baby if I don’t want to. That made me feel a lot better! As of now I just do my part by taking care of the house and our son which tends to keep me pretty busy as well.

I had the same issue with anxiety. Against my S.O. desires I got me a job at 6 months and I have never felt so good.

If you’re so sick it’s just unbearable to work, you should talk to him. Do you have other children at home too? If you think you can find it in yourself to stick with full time, I think that would be smart though, especially because I would think your husband would rather work 40 or 60 than 80 hrs a week- I’m guessing he is doing this for financial reasons? Maybe I have it wrong. If he is really wearing himself out everyday and you need the money, it might be insensitive to ask to reduce your hours so early, but if you cannot take it, then you should talk to him. If your doctor suggests less hours, that would be another reason too. Now if financially you are fine and your husband just has two passions he enjoys working on, then yes, ask away, even if you could really push on.

@brittany88, then talk to him about it! If you guys can afford it and he’s happy working that much, no reason you have to work full time. :)
