Venting:

My SO most definitely acted all excited when I found out I was pregnant, and definitely loved telling everyone.

But going to appointments gets thrown in my face and he doesn’t wanna spend time with me, doesn’t ask me at all how I am. He’s been spending chunks of money everywhere, and everyone tells him he’s gotta stop and just doesn’t listen to anyone.. he’s honestly really hurting me and I’ve tried to vent to him.. but he honestly doesn’t get anything I’m saying at all..

sometimes I need a hug from him or him to be there..

but he’s not.. he’s always just tlk, telling pple about me or the baby.. not even correct information..

plus his father and stepmom.. have gone dead silent since I called here out on lying.. I’ve made a post about being in the hospital and it being a really scary time and nothing no concern. Starting to feel like it runs in the family.

Smh 😭 I don’t understand y he can’t be there as he said he would.. I feel completely alone with him and being here.. 😒

Like ok sometimes when I start to cry yeah I can’t help it, I wasn’t like that before, but my emotions on how I feel you treat me and this situation are actually how I feel and u doing something it. Can I just say that, have you ever thought there's an underlying issue to why they are becoming distant? @joyfulmom2b you said this is your first child, is it also your partners? If so he could be just becoming nervous and doesn't know how to open up to you. Remember that men go through emotions differently to us women so please don't be so hard on your husbands 😊

@paige_1999, yes it’s first child and I know he’s nervous we’ve tlked about it and he’s had most of this pregnancy doing whatever he wants n mostly his needs.. he’s literally just disappeared a few times. I’m not hard on him, and for the most part when he’s not stubborn thanks me for keeping him in check and getting his life together. I don’t believe it’s a lot to ask that he’s more available to me now that we are getting closer to that time and the worries of preterm labor.. he knows it too, he just doesn’t know how to I guess. He’s a big man child. It’s kind of a respect thing, I’ve done for you for yrs, now I’d like that back alil. Honestly though, he’s got ADHD and i believe it’s gotten more intense and that’s y he’s everywhere rn. We tlked some this morning, and he apologized but he’s done that a lot.. I’d just like to see some kinda concern from him

@joyfulmom2b I do believe that the ADHD may be part of the underlying issue. I'm glad you guys have spoken but maybe this is something he may need to go see a counsellor for or a therapist whichever is suitable for you and your partner. I however see what you mean about the respect and all that, sometimes it does take after the baby is born for them to realise and some don't realise till the mum either returns to work or goes on a girls night cause then they see what we mean by it all

@paige_1999, agreed his mom and I both asked him to go to a therapist again, but he’s been stubborn. He’s been riding like dirt bike/quad as a healthy vent but he’s turned that into a all the time thing to the point of not even really working currently. I have enough stress and he’s got a very easy going job.. he needs to focus and work again. Riding is only suppose to be a vent, not life. But yes I’ve been told it will probly take till babies here for him to change and realize but I’m also worried he’s gonna try to run again when things become more abt baby.. and leave me in a shittie spot again. Idk step by step I guess, hopefully he learns to give me that respect back again, bc it worries me how he runs away when nervous, we aren’t kids anymore and I can’t have him just disappearing on his kid.. it crushes me when he does, I can’t imagine a young child.

@joyfulmom2b have you considered asking him to do the therapy together? Maybe he will feel a little bit more comfortable having you in the room along with him. I understand what you mean honey. I actually growing up had my father run out when I was 2.5 months old and since I was about 9-10 years old he is trying to pick up the pieces and become a father and a grandfather. It's not easy for a kid either.

Just one step at a time with your partner who knows he may come around the more you talk to him about how you are feeling and try using more 'we' then 'you' otherwise he is going to feel like it's all his fault and that he is the reason for everything

Jenny

@paige_1999, he actually suggested doing that a few months ago and I asked him to do it after he disappeared again and then refused.

And I’m sorry to hear that but that’s my point exactly I rather try to prevent anything like that happening in the future bc it really messes wit a kid. And we both came from divorced families at a early age, he originally would go off saying ur stuck wit me for 18yrs bc we aren’t putting our kid through what we have dealt wit. So idk he’s so back and forth, it just messes wit my head.

And mostly definitely keep the “we” thing in mind.. think that could help.. bc he flips stuff I say that isn’t even relevant to what I’m saying bc he feels like it’s all his fault... and he should just keep up this behavior.

@joyfulmom2b the more you push to not have your baby have that life the chances are they will cause you'll end up pushing each other away emotionally and mentally.

I'm glad I could be of some assistance for now.

I'm sorry you didn't have a good up bringing either

@paige_1999, yeah, we where on the same level with how we wanted to make that work, but he’s just all over the place. Says one thing, does another and or does reckless stuff, hopefully when baby comes his mind settles alil bit at least.. and thank you, appreciate it
