Just did the NT scan and they are recommending that we do the CVS test because anything under 3 is…

My last baby had 2/3 markers and the neck was one of them. I refused the test due to the risk factors.

@happymommyxo hey hun.. I had genetic done at 10wks 4 days and 7 days later was told my daughter has 95% chance she has Down syndrome and the ultrasound pretty much confirmed it at 12wks.. Her neck length was the same and she also has a cystic Hygroma on her neck which is also the reason for the thickness.. We refused the amnio and CVS because there's a risk of miscarriage so I'd rather wait until birth.. I go on the 25th to have her checked again with her anatomy and see what's going on. What have they told you about your ultrasound?..I wouldn't risk any invasive test

I would just do the harmony test if available. Theirs no risks to baby

@happymommyxo, I understand, I was in the same situation. It’s a simple blood test they take from you. They will be able to tell. It’s pretty accurate, and the good thing about it , it does not affect the baby.. on the other hand the other test they want you do to has risks/: you can lose the baby.. did they see a nasal bone on the baby ?

@blessed2018w9, yes I’m nervous about the invasive test, of course the doctors push for it and scares you explaining everything. They said my baby’s neck is measuring 3.6/3.8 and he said anything over 3 is a high risk

@casanovaivette2711, yes we saw the nasal cavity and I told the doc that and he said with some you still see it, he said there was a blood test but it only tested down Down syndrome and Edwards, the doctor told me CVS is more broad test for Austism, heart issue etc he said 70% the baby is fine and 20-30% the baby has a genetic issue

@happymommyxo I would refuse the test.. It's taking a peace of the placenta there's risk. The Lord only gives special babies to special mamas and he has chosen us. I know your worried and scared cause it hit me hard when I was told.. But I've learned recently that there's nothing down about it.. It's only a syndrome.. I correct people a lot when they use the term "Downs" cause that's not right it's Down. Did you have the genetics blood test done?

@blessed2018w9, yeah they took 11 tubes of blood at my first appt. the doc said it’s 70% the baby is fine and 20-30% the baby could have something but it’s such a broad span he said it could be a heart issue, autism it could be a developmental issue in school etc. I go back and forth on what to do, I don’t want to be worried or stressed wondering my whole pregnancy and at the same time I’m nervous to do the test as it’s invasive. I’ve read that people were told there’s a high risk with the neck being even greater and their baby has no health issues. It’s so difficult I’m so confused
