If they just say “your name” then it’s definitely a scam. They almost never know you’re actual name.

@jennatess, thank you it seemed fishy when I blocked it and a whole new one that said the exact same thing called like 20 mins later

@avasmommy03, just keep blocking them. If they REALLY needed to get ahold of you, they’d mail something directly or use your full name. I live in Nevada, but my number is still Southern Illinois based from 8+ years ago. All the scam calls I get are Illinois area codes. Ugh. So annoying!

@avasmommy03, ugh! Just yesterday my husband got a call and it was automated.. BUT... it sounded like this... “HELLO? Hello? .... hi? ... can you hear me? Can you hear me?... “

Luckily my husband was smart and said, “I can hear you. Are you a real person?”

He said that they are hoping you say “YES” so it can use your voice for whatever reason.

Yes I get those to that’s creepy I believe it’s a way to get people to give personal info by telling them they have a lawsuit or outstanding debt smh just sick

I never answer numbers I don't know. If it's important they'll leave a message, text, or call back immediately

@chelleyb93, that’s the thing I’d always ignore them until they left the voicemail telling me I have a active lawsuit in my name like whhaaa 🙁

@avasmommy03 they'd send legal papers in the mail of it was true or have and an official to serve you papers
