I'm so scared to do IVF at such a young age but we both want to be parents more than anything.…

Have you already tried other methods? Medicated cycle or IUI? Not sure how old you are, my husband and I started this process Oct 2016 right after my 28th birthday. We tried both medicated cycles and IUI first.

We started he IVF journey last August, a little scary to start but honestly with a goal of being parents we just have to push through the fear.

@m1troy Any other method won't work for me, I found out last visit that both of my tubes are blocked, so it's almost impossible to conceive naturally. Said IVF is our best option. I'm only 21, turning 22 next month.

@jgood2220, I’m sorry to hear that you have blocked tubes, but think it’s great that you found out so much sooner then most. This may be an advantage, if the block is all that is happening, IVF May work for you the very first try. Go for it! Put the fear aside. There is a movie on Netflix that shows the process of you want to be able to see if happening before you actually start. The one I watched was called Vegas Baby but I think there is another one.

The doctors around me will let you have a surgery to unblock your tubes! Maybe you could ask your doctor about that and see what they say about it? It wouldn’t hurt to ask at least 😊 goodluck!

@lambmegan they said that was an option too but they said most of the time, it doesn't always work and with where they're blocked, it would be iffy. We've been talking about it and thinking that IVF would be the best for us and luckily ibsurance covers a lot of it so were really happy about that.

@jgood2220 if insurance covers it go for it!!! I did iui at 24 and started trying at 23

@npf i would much rather do iui lol and I should have said it covers most of it, theres a couple things it doesn't cover because of my age, but still really want it to happen for us ❤ we're so ready to start a family

Nothing is covered on insurance for me either as I'm 41. It's much less likely to work as you get older as your eggs deteriorate.

I have conceived after IVF. The first attempt didnt work but the second one was successful. If you have been found to be infirtile, doing IVF is suitable for women including you at your young age. Actually, the younger you are... The greater chance you have at having a successful pregnancy.
