Idk what to do , we’re trying to buy a mobile home and move or move in general. We live with my mom n brother. I’ve never lived anywhere before besides with my parents . I had our oldest daughter at 21 and couldn’t afford to move my husband then boyfriend moved in , we wanted two have another child cool great then the last one came 16 months after our second . We got married after our oldest was 1.5 , we’ve been wanting to move pretty much if we don’t there is a good chance we’ll divorce. We’ve tried for a house not enough down payment , tried mobile home bad credit if we do it together but can’t be in my husband name because not enough income . He can’t work two jobs due to my work schedule we go around each other’s schedule for the kids . I already work two jobs and he works one full time . We don’t know what else to do. Rent is high in New York so renting I’m guessing we can’t afford , owning they’re saying no and trying a mobile home is a no go . What else is there?

I live in New York as well. What’s your budget ? You can find a lot of decently priced places if you look hard enough . Look on the Facebook marketplace . I find TONS on there

@momx3, I mean you wouldn’t get a mortgage that cheap either in all honesty. You should look in pa , like the border so it won’t be to far of a travel . You’ll find cheaper houses

I just saw a few on the Facebook marketplace for 1200 3 bedroom. There were a few . It might not be your ideal home or area , but your husband needs to understand that you guys shouldn’t give up on a marriage and if that means moving somewhere you’re not fond of TIL you can get better credit and better jobs that’s what’s gonna have to happen girl!

I just went on Craigslist and typed in your parameters. There were 120 results. I think an apartment is your best bet. Have you looked into housing assistance? Maybe you qualify for section 8 housing where your rent is covered or subsidized. You'd probably have a waiting list, but having a light at the end of the tunnel may alleviate some of the stress in your marriage.
