I don’t think that’s normal. My doctor says if you don’t feel movement, lay down for an hour, if you still don’t feel movement go to labor and delivery ASAP.
Actually you’re supposed to pick an hour of the day in which you feel baby is usually most active. They really look towards the mom for when to worry because every baby is different and some are active than others. My baby at 39 weeks doesn’t kick every hour, sometimes he’s quiet for a couple hours but that’s how he’s been my whole pregnancy and everything is healthy with him. So instead of freaking out if you’re baby hasn’t kicked for an hour, just trust you’re instincts and if it’s been 2 or 3 hours and you’ve tried laying down, eating or drinking something cold or even poking you’re belly a bit and still feel worried, go into L&D and they will monitor you and baby’s movement.
@akcatprincess, Thank you for this because people make it seem like your baby is the same as their baby, my son has never really been the most active but he moves more at night time. I know he’s fine he sends me little kicks as to say “ mommy I’m okay “ but definitely more at night time. I went to L&D once & the lady was just like looks like you caught him during one of his sleeping spells.
I went to L&D once too and they said the same thing to me 😄😂 but you’re welcome!! They really look towards the mom for when to worry because every baby is different it’s true!! My son isn’t the craziest mover but since he’s been like that my whole pregnancy I really only worry if he hasn’t moved for like an entire day, and he moved way more during nighttime too 😊 @quincysmommmmy_,

It’s not. If you have concerns and baby isn’t kicking the correct amount every hour then go and get checked over

@mummyroo91, google said that & he moves fine just not as much today

They did? They told me that if that happens to drink cold icy water and lay down on my left side and wait an hour and she will move
