That’s strange, I’ve had United this whole pregnancy and there hasn’t been one thing they didn’t cover. They have even covered the four extra ultrasounds due to this pregnancy being high risk.

I used to but most insurance companies won't cover genetic testing unless you're high risk and have a need for it. I was told ours would be covered but the office billed it wrong and I just got a bill for $1,100 for mine. We lost our last pregnancy due to a genetic abnormality at 3 months pregnant. My doctor highly recommend and I called to make sure. Was told yes and not because of the reason but because we have met our deductible for the year. Still got screwed. Trying to get it fixed but not holding my breath.

They didn't cover it for any of my pregnancies.

I did with my last pregnancy. They covered my genetic testing, but I was high risk. They covered a whole bunch of extra u/s also with a perinatalogist. It was private insurance though (through my husband’s insurance). I think it all depends on what the contract is with the employer. They did it cover a free breads pump though. We also had a $6,000 deductible.

If medically necessary they will cover it. Otherwise, no.

It depends on your exact plan because even if you have the same insurance company your plan can cover different things. I have UnitedHealth care and I would be responsible for the full cost unless my maximum out of pocket is met. If my deductible is met then I'm only responsible for 80%. Pp said hers didn't cover a breast pump but my plan covers a free breast pump for each new pregnancy. That's why you should always call them and ask directly. Each plan is different. Unfortunately the doctors office can get things wrong and tell you they're covered when they're not.

My plan covers everything but we have the most expensive plan offered through my husband's work. At his old job, we had UMR which is a United Healthcare Company. That insurance policy was not as good and still covered basically everything pregnancy related.
