Hi everybody. I am about to do my final fet to try for a sibling for my almost 2 year old son. I know they say to take it easy for 5 days, but i also know throughout pregnancy there is weight limits to what you should carry. Did you not hold your toddlers while pregnant the second time? At minimum for first 5 days how do i keep him from jumping on me?
@jess.rachel.miller yes that is the big issue getting him into the car seat. The crib and high chair hubby can help but i usually take him to and from school. And even walking he is a great runner but sometimes gets lazy and wants to be held or fights where i want him to go so i have to physically carry him
I haven’t picked my son up at all much since my FET on 4/25. A couple times I have had to lift him in and out of his car seat or high chair, but I’ve been asking for help from my hubby and mom when she has been around. I let him sit in my lap or sit and lie next to me, he holds my hand when we walk, etc. I will probably get more relaxed once I feel things have settled in a little better. ❤️ and best wishes!
Toddlers are supposed to be needy 😂 If they didn’t bug us all day long pushing us to hide in some secret corners of the house just to get a bite of something we love to eat like chocolate or ice cream or some other delight then they’re not keeping us on our toes... 😂 I’d suggest having lil man sit in your lap when you’re sitting, instead of picking him up hold his hand if he goes for it, have him lay next to you when you’re laying down so he gets extra snuggle time, it’s ok if he sits in your lap, toddlers are great climbers and you can assist him with climbing into your lap. My baby girl loves to slam her body on momma sometimes and I block her with my hands open or I grab her before she jumps into me. I’m 10 weeks along, she’s almost two on day of royal wedding and she’s just about 30ibs and due to my cervix it’s adviced I don’t do any heavy lifting due to my cervix so my dh usually picks her up when she wants to be lifted. It’s really hard not to pick their sweet little selves up however it’s just a temporary restriction unless the dr restrictions the entire pregnancy then that’s a different story! Good luck with your transfer in just a couple of days!
Yes. I want to surprise people too. My husband will help but I love my snuggles. I don’t want him to never snuggle again.
Following. I'm going to be da same. My Dd is so needy and sleeps on top of me and also when she wakes up for naps she tells me her feet hurt dat she can't walk so I have to carry her back down the stairs. I'm doing my fet next month and very nervous. I could ask for help but want this a surprise pregnacy.
@gatorgirl419, just ask for help whenever you can!
