How long did you guys wait to have sex after having a baby ? My daughter is a week old I’m defiantly not thinking about it at this second but 5 more weeks seems like a lot what exactly is the issue with doing it to early is it a problem with condoms ? My husband doesn’t wanna wait the whole 6 weeks I tried at 4 weeks with my son I had a tear and it sucked so I waited 9 weeks with him because it hurt so bad but my daughter was only 4lbs any stories would be helpful

The risk is infection. You have a giant wound in your uterus where your placenta detached. Even if your bleeding has stopped and you didn't tear you need to give your body the time required to heal internally. Nothing should go in the vagina during this time, condom or not!

That’s what I thought but 6 weeks is such a long time lol 🤬 I am getting the iud at my 6 weeks check on June 8th but that’s a long wait it’s defiantly worth it tho because a infection would hurt so bad

You should wait, if your trying to please your husband try other ways to keep him satisfied. Like hand jobs, oral sex, ext. but wait til your body heals.

I waited two weeks. Just went easy and everything was fine with me. I did have a c section though so idk if that makes things any different.
