can’t quit. i’ve ran into a couple of women who got mad AT ME for saying how are they smoking still being pregnant.

giving it up cold turkey might be hard for them... but totally doable if they actually cared to.

i know it’s doable bc my friend was a smoker and she quit once she found out. started right back up maybe a couple of weeks after she had her baby. but i mean she did it! you’re right it is a cop out to say they can’t. like sure....

Seriously!! A woman that was technically my boss found out she was preg at 6 weeks along. CONTINUED to smoke and went into labor at 36 weeks. This literally happened last month. Baby is still in the nicu. The doctors have told her the baby has to be watched for SIDS, and she’s talking zero responsibility. The baby was underweight, and she went into labor early for no other reason than the smoking caused it.

I wish they’d make it a punishable by law offense.

Stupid. Completely ignorant and totally selfish!

@mamabird228, for me it’s that cigarettes are packed full of all the extras that are HORRID for an adult let alone a baby trying to grow! It’s insane to me that after all the studies and solid PROOF people still light up. It really should be illegal.

I was a smoker for 10 years. The day I found out I was pregnant with my first child I quit cold Turkey and never went back. I could never live with myself if something was to happen to my baby cuz I was stupid. My mom's bf daughter was pregnant at the same time as me and smoked her whole pregnancy everytime I saw her light up I would say you know you are damaging your unborn baby and all she would say is it stresses me out to much to quit. I would get so mad! Her baby came out at 40 weeks only weighing 4lbs😭.

I know someone who smoked al through pregnancy and had a stillborn, then the next baby she smoked infront of inside the house and he died of SIDS and then her other two were both premature 🤦🏻‍♀️ all because she wouldn’t quit smoking
