I was born with a heart murmur. Most kids born with theirs grow out of them, but some times it can come and go. I have the same problem with it coming and going 🤦🏻‍♀️ if it’s causing pain he should get it checked out. Most murmurs are harmless but there could be an underlying problem

I agree with @canaryv, I also was born with a heart murmur. I grew out of it as it was monitored very closely as a child. I even had to take medication prior to a dentist doing any work on me because mine was so bad as a child. I went years without any issues but every pregnancy my dr can hear it but never see it. But no pain or anything. I’d def have him checked.

My son was born with a murmur and a hole in his heart. They were not connected and his hole closed, but his murmur is still there. It doesn’t cause him any problems, but with a history of heart issues, he should definitely get that checked out.

I was diagnosed with a heart murmur at 8 years old but grew out of it. They do, however, come and go. I get shortness of breath once in awhile, heart palpitations, and it scares me a bit. I’ve gone to the ER twice, checked my blood, stress test, and everything came back normal. Please have him get checked.
