6 years ago my husband cheated. There had been issues in our relationship on both sides. He broke it off and apologized. I forgave and life went on. We had one daughter at that point. Three years later and I’d just (and I literally mean 3 days after) had a traumatic delivery with our second daughter. Found out he never ended it at all and he was depressed cuz she broke up with him. Tried to forgive but never really did. Our relationship deteriorated further as I couldn’t trust him. I had suspicions on who it was which he denied to everyone. Last year I had my third daughter. Found out 5 days ago that the affair was in fact still going on and that they planned on him leaving me and starting their own family. It came out since she left him for someone else because she was tired of waiting for him. The kicker.....the other woman is my own cousin who’s at my house every week and it’s EXACTLY who I suspected. What do I do with this. He’s leaving to decide what he wants. One one hand I’m glad he’s leaving. It’s been not good for too long. On the other, my kids will be devastated, and the thought of them not being with me everyday and night makes me physically nauseous. Just needed to put that out there. 😰😰😰😰😰😰😰

Awe! I’m so sorry. That sounds like a terrible situation. You just have to try and stay strong for the kids. Maybe take some time to do some family things with them out of the house so they can see that Daddy doesn’t need to be around for you all to have fun and be a family. Good luck!

Wow she needs a kick up her ally, and I would not consider her family at this point. Sounds like he can't let her go, it's been going on for a few years now. If that was me he wouldn't be out to decide what HE wants, I would dissintegrate the relationship asap. That's years of dishonesty and constant cheating. It's hard when kids are involved but do what's best for you, one day at a time. Do outings and activities with them to get their mind away from it. Their father is the one who messed up he will have to answer to that. All you can do is love them unconditionally. You are enough.

Oh my god !!! What a moron. Both of them are pathetic and I’ll tell you now from my experience men don’t change and the hardest part is the fear of how you will manage on your own ..
That is my biggest issue .. losing everything I worked so hard for (the house , security ) etc ..
we are lucky though when we are ready there’s so much support for single mums ..
Before our third I was ready to leave, kept the kids away during the day they barely saw their dad but it eased them into when I ran away..
we ended up together a few months later but has gone back to same old habits
No woman deserves this ..

Wow. This is crazy. He is going to go think about want HE WANTS. WTF shit is this? Girl, it should be you considering what you want.
I'm going to lay it thick.
This guy will continue to cheat. This guy will continue to treat you like shit. This guy is a worthless piece of trash that has treated you like scum and YOU let him.
Fool you once, shame on him. Fool you twice (and more), shame on you.
Grow a pair and leave his ass. Do not take him back. Do not shed another tear. Do not give him another thought. HE IS NOT WORTH IT!

Imagining life as a 40 year old single mom with very small children is hard. But it’s less about my feelings for him. My eldest will actually be crushed. She’s so sensitive. She cried last night when she was already in bed cuz he wasn’t home. She was sleeping and wouldn’t see him anyways but still she was hurt he wasn’t there. The little one won’t know him and the middle is wary of him anyways cuz he’s never really been there for her. I know it’s better for me, it’s them I worry about. I h met worked in over 6 years because I was a sahm, and I’ve been applying but nothing. To pay for daycare (assuming I don’t get any subsidies) will be more than the average take home pay. I don’t have anyone to watch them that could help with that.
As an add, he’s still trying to get the kids together with her and insisted she loves them and wants to see them. Thinks I should have no problem with her being around them.
Also I absolutely no longer consider her family. This will tear much of my family away from me if/when they find out.
It’s not about growing balls and just leaving. It’s making sure I can provide for my kids and making sure they’re emotionally ok.

"What do I do with this. He’s leaving to decide what he wants."
He doesn't get to decide what he wants in this situation. He has already decided he wants to be a cheating pig. To be honest you can't keep thinking about how your kids will feel either. All you're doing whilst doing that is showing them that this is how a woman is to be treated. Your girls will grow up thinking it's the norm to have a bloke screw anything that walks and gets away with it and your boys will do the same to other girls.
As hard as it is you need to end this, find yourself and realise you and your kids are worth more. He is t just cheating on you, he is cheating on them also. He is prioritising another woman over your AND them. Don't allow him to continue this.
Your kids will. Get through this, as will you. You'll cry and scream, they may do also but you will get through it.
Stop letting the pig get away with it and find yourself and eventually a real man who'll treat you right.

@jens_01 I understand this is daunting and if it were a 1 night stand I could understand the consideration (personally I wouldn't), however, this is far from that. I think you should be worried about the example you are setting for your children, especially your girls. Wouldn't you want your daughter/s to leave if it were them in this situation? The way we teach women to be stronger is by being the example. Also, do it for yourself. Noone ever deserve to be treated like this, EVER!

I just realized I wasn’t clear. I’m not waiting around for him to make a decision. I’m taking inventory of my life and what I want and need, regardless of him. I just found it infuriating that he would have the audacity to suggest that he has control of the situation or me or my decisions

He is a muppet for even thinking he has any say, that’s true.
After all he has done I really hope you end up giving him the flick. Life as a single mum at 40 isn’t really that bad, granted I’m not a single mum these days but I know a few who are loving their lives these days. All range between 37-43. Single mums who are only disappointed that they wasted their best boob years on their ex’s 😂

@jens_01 I'm glad that's your way of thinking. I truly hope you find the strength to leave. You can and will do so much better. Best wishes x

@cenedra, seriously. The boob situation is not what it was. Lol

@jens_01, nope, nor mine. Quite depressing state the puppies are in these days 😂
