I almost got prescription sunglasses but just couldn't afford it. Its about 140-180. I go to a place on greenback. Might be cheaper if you take your prescription into Costco but I haven't had time to check and compare yet

@badmomanonymous, I wonder if the cost just mainly depends on the brand of sunglasses. I’ve never even batted an eye at sunglasses because while I was under my moms insurance before I turned 18 sunglasses weren’t an option but now they are so I’m trying to figure it out a little bit before going in completely blind....ha I see what I did there 😂

@taylorsmommy1017, actually yeah I have thought about that and I was really close to getting those lenses but either my insurance didn’t cover it or idk SOMETHING prevented me from getting transitions. I know a long time ago they used to take forever to transition and they never got dark enough(what my friends would say about theirs)

@taylorsmommy1017, I kind of like the idea of separate sunglasses cause then if I’m sitting in a very well lit room my lenses won’t go dark on me lol

I use transition lenses easier to keep track of one pair of glasses and not get blinded by the sun lol the lenses only go dark with sunlight not with any indoor bright lighting so you’ll still be able to see inside BUT they don’t transition while you’re driving so if you’re in the car and the sun is right in your eyes the lenses won’t go dark for you so if that’s an issue for you two separate pairs of glasses might be better for you!

@amberloren707, yeah that’s why I need sunglasses cause I’m too short to use the visor in the car but I need to be able to see sooo it’s been an issue 😂

You could try Zenni. I think I made a basic pair on there and they were around $70 or so.

I got some at Costco, the frames were like 60-70 bucks and the lense 80-85, I don’t have vision insurance so not too bad, I did get 2 pairs of regular glasses at the time tho and they had a promotion for each additional pair being $40 off so that helped lol
