I always thought as kids get older they just naturally wean themselves from breastfeeding, but no. Lately my daughter…

I just weaned at 2 not too long ago. Its comfort for them as well. Once you say no and dont give in they realize they cant have it anymore. It takes time and tears. Congrats on bf one year❤

I know the feeling. I wish mine would stop breastfeeding I’ve tried weaning but for a child that didn’t take a bottle or sippy cup until 2 months ago I feel like it’s gonna be a lot harder than I thought. I know I definitely won’t breastfeed again. This time around done me in.

I think what's making it worse is being pregnant. I could cry when my nipples are barely brushed up against, And then you put on a toddler with teeth. It's so painful.

@taylortarrant thats why I had to wean my son. It hurt so bad for him to nurse. Once the baby comes we think he may get jealous or want to nurse again.

@lareina_kk, I'm worried about that too. But with this baby I'm only pumping. I'm not going to be in this situation again lol when you weaned your son did you have to just let him cry? She's not one to give up on what she wants. It's so hard.

@taylortarrant yes he cried😢. I just kept him distracted and stopped nursing during naps, then while we were out, mornings then the hardest nights. It took maybe two weeks. I don't think I could pump full time. I would smash that machine😂 i plan to pump more this time and save milk. You can do it though!

@lareina_kk, alright, she's pretty good throughout the day. It's mainly nighttime. And then she wakes up so much in the middle of the night. Idk why she just won't sleep 😂

I'm sure I'll get sick of it real fast but I'm not opposed to supplementing with formula this time. I guess we'll just see what happens lol

@taylortarrant me too. No formula especially if she doesn't need it. It took like about two years for him to sleep through the night. Once I cut out night nursing he slept. Dont give up❤
