I'm so curious as to how you pump that much! I get an ounce max!

@maesmommy04 I feed on demand and as much as he wants! And ever since I started getting engorged, I started pumping and it made the amount of milk I produced while I was engorged and over producing the normal amount that I'd produce daily. I also feel like the amount of milk I drink has something to do with it lol. I drink A LOT of milk lol. At least 3 glasses a day.

@1st_time_wonder so maybe my boyfriend wasn't crazy when he told me to drink more milk 😂 lol so should I pump every time I feel a let down or leak? Cause sometimes he's sleeping when it happens. I wanna start stocking for when I start working.

@maesmommy04 Yes! That's what I've been trying to do myself but most days, I just pump at the very end of the night and not super close to the last time he fed. If he feeds, i wait an hour and then I pump because thats usually when I start reproducing what he'd just eaten which makes it easier to stimulate my breasts to get milk and sometimes even more than he'd eaten. Don't pump too too much though because you will get engorged again and over stimulate and it will hurt like hell lmao. That's what happened with my daughter and it caused me so much pain and I became a weakling lol.

@1st_time_wonder awesome advice! I'm still new at all this. I never realized how much had to be figured out when I decided to breast feed!

@maesmommy04 Believe me I totally understand. That's why I really started motivating myself to breastfeed before I had Sam. If I hadn't I'm almost sure I would've given up already and started him on formula. I plan to breastfeed up to 6 months at the least and, if I can stand it, a year. And theres apparently an oatmeal ice cream from Ben & Jerry's that helps you produce at least an oz to 1.5 oz more (I don't know if it's true but I wanna test and debunk that theory when I find that ice cream). There's also lactation cookies that I'm gonna be trying to be able to produce a little more too. I'm just hoping I can keep this amount of milk I've been producing up so that I can keep feeling this way because God knows I'm super proud of myself.

@1st_time_wonder you should be! I gave up with my daughter cause she couldn't latch and I couldn't produce enough with a pump. She ended up needing soy formula. So that's why I'm so determined with my boy. He latches now so it's easier but I'm definitely gonna try the cookies. I've found a couple good recipes. My goal is six months then I'll start weening slowly from the breast and exclusively pump till he's a year.
