So I got a call from my OB office. They told me that due to an emergency, my doc won't be at my anatomy scan appointment. They asked me if I was ok with just the nurse and I was like do I have a choice? I wanna know! I guess as long as the doc is there for the birth...anyone think it really matters for the scan for accuracy purposes?

I don’t think it matters. My ultrasounds are done in a whole separate office from my OB, so she isn’t at any of them- in fact for my first one, I hadn’t even met my OB yet!

Wow, that's crazy! I actually was supposed to have my first appointment at 8 weeks but I wanted to meet my doctor so I had it at 10 when she was available. Thanks for the input 😊

My ob never did my ultrasounds..his tech did. So I think it should be fine

Yeah all of my scans are done in a completely separate office by a tech. It’s not even in the same town. (The hospital my OB is out of is about 15 min away, but there’s an imaging office 2 minutes from my house.)

OBs don’t even do the scans here. Just a tech. Never even seen an OB here. Kinda amazes me how reliant they seem to have made themselves over there lol

Your OB won’t read the scan, only deliver you the final results of the scan. ;)
