I’m about to make a ‘stay out of the kitchen while mommy is cooking dinner’ rule. Lol

I have to say this every single day! We have a gas stove and I do not trust my daughter to NOT shove her hand into the flame. But talking about emotional toddlers... yeah mine has drove me crazy all day.

@lilnote, I have a gas stove too. Every time I explain why she can’t be near it or pushing chairs up to the counter to help me, she has a melt down. It’s sweet she wants to help, but it’s so dangerous.

She has been trying to wash dishes too. But with that there’s sharp stuff. Poor thing. I need to get her a kitchen set already.

May she can help you in other ways. Let her get ingredients for you (that she can reach), let her throw stuff away, let her put dirty dishes in the sink, etc. Its so tough at such a young age for them to understand why they can't be around the stove.

My 3yr old had a very emotional day made me emotional too lol.

@lilnote, she understands it’s hot and will hurt her. But she just wants to help. I do have her help when I can because she really likes helping me. She’s such a big girl already 😭. Just the emotional reactions were driving me crazy lol. I’m about to put her to bed. Hopefully she’s not so emotional tomorrow!

@promise, it’s hard! I try not to get emotional with her. But it is so hard sometimes.
