How do I get it through my husband's thick ass skull he needs to wear a seat belt?
I've literally tried everything I can think of and he just doesn't care. I've just given up. If he wants to risk his life like that it's on him.

I wouldn't get in the same vehicle as him. My vehicle doesn't move until all passengers are buckled in. If I notice anyone took off their seatbelts while driving, I will pull over and wait for them to buckle up again or tell them to gtfo of my vehicle. I am not going to be held responsible for someone else's stupidity.
Tell him u will leave him now!! before he leave u forever. Did u show him that video too.
Take out a huge life insurance policy on him that he needs to pay for.
Tell him since he is probably going to die in a car crash you and your family should be taken care of since his stupid ass won't be around.
Maybe that will knock some sense into him.
The problem is that it's not just his life he endangers. If he does that with passengers in the car, he becomes a projectile in the event of a crash. He is a danger to everyone else in the car. If he's riding with you (especially if you're driving and can enforce it), tell him your not going anywhere until he buckles his ass up.
@mmmcano, back in 2013 I was hit head on on the highway by someone who fell asleep on the wheel. It came out of nowhere. I can guarantee you that I would have flown out the front window without one on; seatbelt saved my life. @kambam exactly. He's not suicidal but my God he's being dumb. I told him that too but nope. Doesn't matter. I just have to treat him like a child and physically buckle him in. 😑
If he wants to die, what can you do? Odds of getting in a fatal wreck are so high now. He needs to think of his child and how he can also be a role model for him.
Drive somewhere with him as the passenger and out of nowhere SLAM ON THE DAMN BRAKES! When u flies into the dash or has to brace himself and asks you what happened...say you had a leg spasm and that he woulda been ok/not scared or pissed if he had on his damn seatbelt!
