Does anyone happen to know the average healthy range for your amniotic fluid at 28 weeks?
I gave birth to my son in February 2017 and he was 5 weeks early due to IUGR, almost complete loss of amniotic fluid, contractions that were severely slowing and even stopping his heart and breech presentation. I’m high risk this time and trying to prepare incase this baby also develops IUGR or has issues with amniotic fluid etc. Dr thinks my issues started around 28-30 weeks last time but nothing was ever known to be wrong until 34 weeks.
I went to L&D last week (27 weeks) for lack of fetal movement, all was fine. My amniotic fluid was measuring 5cm. Does that seem low or on track?

Low mine was like under a 7 and they were concerned I had to come every week for ultrasounds but I drank lots of water and got it up

They should have said something. Call ur Dr and tell them u went in and they did an ultrasound and all that, they need to get the records and follow up with you. They should have been measuring your levels already since you already had this issue last pregnancy. Do you see a high risk dr?

Oh wow, I had an immediate follow up with my dr, a few mins after L&D (my drs office is in the hospital) and my dr didn’t mention anything about the fluid. She has been monitoring me closely this time and so far she says I’m measuring on track and all seems good for now. My growth scans begin this week and will be happening every 4 weeks unless needed otherwise.
She referred me to a high risk ob at he beginning of my pregnancy but that dr didn’t see a need for me to become his patient so I’m still with my original dr.
