Feed him after the shot he will forget all about it, and have some tylenol for the evening he might get fussy from a sore leg.

Massage the leg throughout the day afterwards to help it not get too sore

I always gave my son motrin 30 mins before to help with the pain and to prevent fever.

@chasha2017 Motrin shouldn’t be given under 6 months.

I would honestly only use medication as a last resort usually they are totally fine and just sleep for a while afterwards.
