So I made a new kind of chicken for my son for dinner tonight and I thought he would like it. And at first he seemed too until a few bites in and then he started refusing it. I got him to take a Few more bites with it dipped in mustard and ketchup but otherwise it was huge fight. :/ I don't get it? I get frustrated and discouraged cause it's like why should I even go out of my way to make him stuff and waste my time and money. But at the same time I want him eating more than just chicken nuggets and frozen meatballs because that's about all he eats for dinner these days. 😩 I feel bad but idk what else to make him? Everything else is like I'm sure he won't eat.

Try to stick with it ya it’s hard but he learning if he don’t eat what you give him you will give him nuggets and meatballs. They are really smart. Just keep trying and even as for a snack

@rachelc1993, if he doesn't eat what I make I don't give him nuggets or meatballs. He gets his veggies and fruits and that's it. I don't give into him. But other nights I just make him the nuggets. But I do try other things like tonight but 9 times out of 10 he doesn't eat it,So he gets his fruit and veggies and that's it. I just feel bad that his menu options is a very short list. But he's so damn picky. Even things he use to

@missjess, hey he is getting fruits and veggies that is really good most kids want eat that. Your doing really good. Have you tried rewarding him for eating. Say like a cookie. If you eat all you food you can have a cookie.

@rachelc1993, he will only eat the jar baby food fruits and veggies lol. But it's better that nothing. I always make sure he has them with every meal. Sometimes I can get him to eat like the freeze dried fruits for a snack but it's hit or miss. He's super picky about everything. Lol. I haven't tried rewarding. Usually he has a snack awhile before dinner. I could try to switch it to after though and see how he does.
