Any of you ladies plan on having or have had a natural or water birth ?! With my first I had an epidural but with this baby I’m having a natural water birth and I am nervousssss! 😳😳😳
Can you ladies share your stories or give some tips ?! Thanks! 😊
Two natural births. Planning on the same this time around. Being in Water helps ALOT!! First I swear I held my breath the entire time. Brutal. Second I was much calmer and knew to breath. This time I plan on moving around a lot and allowing gravity to aid me. Good luck!! You can do it!!
@pinnkmom my doctor had told me I could labor in the water but if it happened he wouldn't stop me from birthing in the water even though the hospital usually doesn't recommend it but he was a very experienced and practiced doctor so I trusted hos judgement fully and still do. I just don't think the nurse wanted to deal with the set up and the extra supervision... I told my doctor and he wasn't happy.
@pinnkmom you need a good birthing coach too. I did want to cave, I hold my husband after 34 hrs of labor that I didn't think I could do it anymore. He had to remind me that I wanted this. Had he said okay, you can get one, I would have. I needed him to be strong for me I that moment and he wss
@pinnkmom I have been looking up different tips such as the breathing techniques. Trying to prepare myself mentally and I have seen free downloads on the internet
@ladyblauvelt.skysmomma, “bitch nurse” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 why not ? Were you only allowed to labor in the water ?
@mamaovie_3, sheesh! I want a speedy delivery ! Lol that’s like every woman’s dream 🙏🏾
@newlyironman, that’s a good point. with my first I knew I was getting an epi the minute I got pregnant lol and that’s exactly what I did ! I’m gonna practice my breathing and positive affirmations! I’m sure I’ll do just fine 🤞🏾
I have had two births with epi, and one with just iv meds but this time I'm doing natural with no meds
I loved my natural birth! It was hard and I only succeeded because I went into it with the mind set that I WILL NOT get an epi. I told my husband to remind me of that when I tried to cave in. Had I gone into it with a "well maybe I'll get am epin we'll see" mind set, I would have 100% gotten one
@pinnkmom, yes start the pep talks now. I delivered 38 minutes after getting to the hospital it all happened so fast. But next baby I definitely want to go natural again...by choice lol
Ugh I really wanted my first to be a water birth and my doctor gave me the ok and everything but the bitch nurse at the hospital wouldn't allow me to get in the tub once my water broke 😣
@mamaovie_3, ughhh, I feel like that’s me. I’m not saying it but I’m subconsciously thinking it ! 🤦🏾♀️ I’m trying to think positive though.
I had an unplanned natural birth and honestly I freaked myself out because I hadn’t mentally prepared myself. I kept telling myself I couldn’t do it which made it harder for me to focus on breathing through the contractions.
@blessed.mommy, omg! So it was about ready for you to push by the time you got there! Lol I have a hospital about 10 mins away so worse case scenario if things happen too fast, I’ll have to go there. But I’m really hoping I can make it to my hospital for the water birth!
How did you deal with the labor pains at home ?
@cowgirl2790, I hear that a lot ! For me I still felt the pressure so I knew when to push, but I felt so high and out of it afterwards I couldn’t even “bond” with my child until it wore off. I hated that feeling.
@blessed.mommy, luckily my hospital allows you to labor and deliver in the water. I planned on laboring at home initially but my hospital is 45mins away, it might not be a good idea for me to wait ! Lol
@noahbellamom, I just remember dealing with those contractions before I got my epidural (the anesthesiologist was late 🙄) and I thought I was going to die! Now that I’m reading about natural births I’ve realized how important it is to breathe! I swear with my first I held my breath when I got a contraction lol 🤦🏾♀️
@pinnkmom, my waterbirths were my only natural births. The first 3 I had an epidural (#1) and IV narcotics (2 and 3)
With my son I had an epidural. And with my other two pregnancies I had natural. I prefer natural because with the epidural I couldn’t feel when my body was telling me to push so it took forever!
@squishymommy1, how was the pain compared to your other births outside of the water ?!
@stephaniesaliba20, hmm so you’ve had some practice ! It’s good to see the positive change from your first to your second! You’re gonna nail this one !
That was me all the way!! Holding my breath.. why was that my first instinct? Lol it was sooo hard for me to breathe and
I’m nervous I’m gonna do the same thing this time around. Butttt I’m gonna stay positive and keep speaking positive affirmations!
