My daughter’s birth story: I went to the hospital to check in for my induction at 8pm. They nurse messed up my IV twice and had a different nurse come do it the third time. I’m already irritated at this point. The nurse stuck that pill inside me to help me dilate. (I was at a 3 when I got to the hospital). By 8am, I was dilated even more and I ended up getting my epidural at 11am that next morning. By noon, I was completely numb and couldn’t feel any contractions. After pushing for about an hour, I got an episiotomy (which I was never asked about), and my baby was born at 1:30pm 👶🏽. She didn’t cry too much, so they whisked her away to check her. She was only 5lbs, 15 oz, so I’m surprised I had to be cut, honestly. Even though my labor was an easy one and I didn’t feel much, the episiotomy is what hurt the most and is still hurting till this day. I wouldn’t change her birth story at all, because she is absolutely perfect and worth every frustrating and painful moment.
