How did you moms transition baby to a sippy cup... and when? I've seen babies of all ages drinking from cups and bottles so I'm just curious. 😇
@tamitam, he was getting to old. I had to. The only sippy my son will use is the munchkin brand. I did hear when you are trying to start with a little one to give them a sippy with a tiny amount in it without the suction thing so they can learn how to suck on it
@johnell I'm glad you stood your ground. He's probably forgotten about that bottle by now. 🙄
@tamitam, I wouldn’t say that lol he did whine for a couple days and ask for it but I stood my ground. Plus I told him for like two weeks prior that the bunny was going to take his bottle. I had the bottle hidden in the couch for a while. Didn’t think he’d find it. He did he handed it to me and was like bunny took it. And I was like whoops 😬 and hid it again. Just Incase but it’s been a month now so I think we’re okay.
My son would not give his bottle up till recently. I told him the Easter bunny took it and had the bunny leave sippy cups. Your sons to young to understand but when I did try when he was younger I cleared the shelves and bought every cup I could find to see what he liked. He didn’t like the 360 cups and still doesn’t.
@reevespartyof4, same. Started at 6m.
He didn't like the sippy and couldn't quite figure out the 360, but did really well with the straw cups. By about 13m he was off the bottle completely, and he finally figured out the 360, haha.
We just started at 6 months with a 360 cup, right now he mostly just plays with it though. My daughter never gave into anything but a straw cup.
6 months! She actually never took a bottle so I started putting my breast milk in a sippy for her and she took it instantly!
@johnell thanks for the advice. I'll try that out.
