Had it with with my first pregnancy. They just gave me iv antibiotics in labour, it’s easily treatable if you know you have it the problems can come if you don’t know really. I’m waiting to find out if they will retest me in this pregnancy or I’ve also read once you have been treated once you just get automatically treated for it with subsequent pregnancies x
@lizziel I found out yesterday that I have it but the issue I have is I'm allergic to majority of antibiotics. I'm waiting for a microbiologist to get back to my doctor to find out what we're going to do. I didn't have it with my son so I don't understand how I got it
It comes and goes, it’s not anything bad, you didn’t ‘catch it’ . A lot of women have it at some point. The whole reason they don’t normally test in the uk is because you could test neg at 37 weeks and then positive at 38. There’s a gbs website that should give you some info. Hopefully they can come up with some antibiotics you are able to have
