Had my 36 week check up appointment doctor sent me to the hospital for a nst and baby isnt co-operating so now I'm waiting on a different kind of test some kind of ultrasound to make sure baby is ok, doctor said depending on how bad my swelling is on Thursday there's a good chance I'll get sent to have my c-section Thursday or Friday at 37 weeks... Original c-section date is may 16th, starting to get nervous I just want my baby to be ok and have the time he needs to be fully developed

Forgive me if this offends anyone but is it just me or does it seem like doctors are so quick to jump to c-sections these days? Even my midwife at 30 weeks said if my baby doesn’t turn (he’s transverse) I’ll have to have a c-section. Which of course put so many thoughts in my mind that I didn’t necessarily need because I still have ten weeks. I just don’t get it I guess. Technically we can go to 42 weeks.
