I’m a sub and I was watching a class for two periods. This class is usually really rowdy but a couple of them usually go to another class to get help with reading. The teacher wasn’t there and left no work so they asked to stay in the room with us. I saw no real problem with it especially since the sub in the other room could be used elsewhere. The teacher of the class I was watching came in and immediately had an attitude and I’m sure part of it was with me, but the thing is I’m nine months pregnant and if they know what they are supposed to do I’m not going to stress myself out yelling and repeating myself and agitating them. I’ve become a lot more passive in my approach because I don’t want to risk early labor and I don’t think the teachers really understand that.
