Hi Ladies. (Long post, sorry in advance)
I wanted to get some opinions on something, so please educate me if I’m wrong...
So I always ONLY see posts about “humans are born with two natural born breastfeeding covers, your eyes”. In the comments every single person is agreeing. Saying they could care less how others feel, kind your business, etc etc... Now I am all for breastfeeding! I’m going on 3 months of exclusively breastfeeding my daughter. When in public, I always use a cover. Me personally, I don’t want people starring at my breast while I’m feeding my child. But that’s just me. Along with the fact that I don’t want to be out see anyone else’s breast. Yes, you are feeding your child. Yes, it is natural. But I don’t think to understood from the other side. I feel like I was traumatizeddddddddddd as a child. My little cousins mother just whipped out her boob & started feeding her. I never wanted to be around her again. Yes, I knew & understood what she was doing. (My mother educated me on any & everything) Doesn’t mean I needed to see it. For some people, they don’t want to explain certain things to their children at such a young age & shouldn’t be forced to. I’m not tagging on anyone. Breastfeeding is hard work & an amazing thing to do, but why doesn’t anyone look at it from the other side?

I use to cover up or go to the bathroom to breastfed if I was I public

Because it’s natural & people have been breastfeeding without a cover for years. Nowadays some people are just too sensitive. And when it’s hot I don’t see the need to make your child uncomfortable by adding another layer & making it hotter for them. If others have a problem with breastfeeding I think they should look away. No ones asking them for their opinion or asking to be stared at when they’re feeding their child. That’s just how I see it. 🤷🏽♀️

I bottle and breast feed and I'm very modest so I always use a cover no matter where I am except for my house...and i see where other people are coming from when they say it's natural and there's nothing wrong with covering up...I agree to an extent...my aunt breast feeds and she will be having a conversation with my husband and whip her Boob out right in front of him to nurse....I dont think that's very appropriate

I breastfed and sometimes I covered up, sometimes I didn’t. In my home, I will do as I please. I think the biggest thing is telling kids that’s how babies are fed. If society would stop making it sexual and weird, it wouldn’t be that big of a deal. My kids know that’s how mommy’s feed their babies or sometimes babies get a bottle. That was it. They never flinched when they saw a breastfeeding mother, never stared, that was it. Kids are more understanding when they are little and if you don’t make a big deal about it, then they won’t. If you are more comfortable covering up, that’s great. Some people are more comfortable not covering. It’s really a personal preference.

@damiensmommy1117, you see more breasts going to the beach than you do from a mother not being covered while she is feeding. I never just whipped my boob out either. The baby was right there and they latched quick. People need to get over it!

I feel like most of what is being said is still one sided, but I hear you 🤷🏽♀️
