I feel you!! Is she latching okay? I know with Sam the because thing is he tried latch too early, so he gets part of my nipple and it hurts!

@raelene_g, same!! The lactation consultant that I saw today said it’s going to take some time because we are both still learning and finding the hold helps a ton too. I learned that if you feel pinching, she’s not latched on properly

Can you have someone bring you a nipple shield ? It's ok to feel flustered it's awesome that you are trying ! It's very new for both if you and it takes time. Try asking a nurse to help you. Even if you have to google it or YouTube it. Don't stress you will get the hang of it and you'll be a pro in no time ! You're doing awesome and just know that babies tummy is so tiny right now even the smallest amount of colostrum is enough right now while you get the hang of it. You got this mama !

First week is hard hold your breast like a bottle and bring baby really close and aim for the top of her mouth
