How to Help My 2-Year-Old Transition from the Bottle?
So my son is 2y2m and unfortunately still takes a bottle. I’m a single mom living with my parents trying to get back in my feet. My mom doesn’t believe in taking the bottle away to soon etc. I chose my battles because I don’t pay rent and she baby sits him all day while I work. Well it is time now he comes off the bottle. My mom will be out of town this weekend so I will have 3 days with him to break it. They say it takes about 2 days to break the habit? Any tricks or ideas to making the process easier?

Just throw them all out, replace with sippies. Try a soft nipple sippy first that should help. Give him extra playtime, walks outside etc he'll get over it.

He hates hard top sippy cups so we do soft ones. He drinks water juice etc out of sippy cups the only thing that goes in the bottle is milk so I’m crossing my fingers he won’t notice much. He’s about to be going between my house and his dads and I really want him off the bottle before he starts going. Thanks so much for your tips. We have a birthday party this weekend and he goes with his dad for 5 hours Sunday so he will stay busy. Nap time and bedtime are going to be tough though.

Yeah nap times will be more difficult but worth the trouble! Just stay consistent and don't be afraid to comfort him more. He'll need it.

Give him a sippy cup and don't give him a bottle. If he's thirsty enough, he will drink.

@kambam, we love cuddles lol guess it’ll be a good time to take advantage 🤣 I was thinking of having him throw out his bottles.
