My son turns 2 the end of May. He is rear facing and will continue to rear face until he grows out of it. My question is: how do I get this little maneuver to stop? The straps won't tighten anymore and I have the strap protectors on because otherwise they rub his neck to the point of leaving scabs. Help?

@kambam, no excess to pinch. He puffs out his chest and sucks in his tummy to put his hand through

It really should tighten more...my son is the same age and also in a Graco seat, and he's quite snug in there. Maybe something is wrong with the straps?
It should be able to go tighter on the lap part. But if it doesn't and its tight enough on chest then he won't be able to get his arms out anyway.
I don't think it's an issue then really. He won't be able to get out
