I waited 2 months then I started painting their toes. I waited till they were over a year old for the fingers.

It’s a non toxic nail polish call piggy paint. Wal mart has it.

I have a 2 year old and in my opinion I’d still wait til maybe about 3 where she’ll know and understand alil better . She knows more not to put it in her mouth and bite it. Or maybe start with the toes. Less likely to end up in her mouth . My opinion but everyone is different. I know the brand piggy paint is safe. Would like to know of others , if anyone knows .

@mommyof18, yes I was thinking finger might not be a good idea. I’ll be happy with just doing toes especially since sandal season is should be starting soon if winter would decided to stop playing lol

My oldest daughter was 2 when I started painting her nails . There is a brand called piggy paints . They are made for children and pregnant women.

I wouldn't do fingernails maybe her toes but I'd wait a while for hands since babies tend to put their hands in their mouths alot

I know that I had a friend who had identical twins and that's how she told them apart until she got to know them better XD I think it's an awesome and adorable idea I just would be careful because my first (a 3mo boy) sure loves to chew on his fingers. To each their own, don't let anyone give you grief about it and make the best decision for you and your family. -^
