For me it was immediate both times. This last time as soon as I got home from the hospital I went home and did loads of laundry up and down the stairs. And I walked my son to school.
I was in the hospital for 2 days , then I went home and I was moving kinda slow for a couple days but still able to take care of baby and clean. The more scar tissue the more it hurts. I’ve had 5 c-sections and I got one more coming up In September 😃.
They had me up the next morning, and I think I showered the day after that. Went home on the third day. I avoided lifting, bending, and moving too quickly for the next few weeks but I was up and about.
Had mine yesterday and was up and walking once I got feeling back. But take it easy because I apparently did too much moving yesterday because I was in so much intense pain today it was almost unbearable.
I was up 4 hours after with help. You’ve got to and I mean GOT to force yourself to get up and walk because that’s how you get that blood flow and circulation back and all that painful gas out. Remember to stay on top of your pain meds like clockwork and you’ll be fine. I had to stay in the hospital for 48 hours by law apparently but I felt I couldve left after a day. Rest and walk and rest and walk some more. You got this

As soon as the feeling comes back they allow you to move. @jessjanet32 The more you move the quicker recovery time they say.

Typically within 6 hours of your csection they want you to get up.
