@mommyem_, gender shouldn’t be wrong if you did the blood test. Boys and girls have two different chromosomes so it is 99.9999% correct.

If you already know the gender then you won’t get one at 20weeks that’s why you’ll be getting your next one at 28weeks and 35 weeks

@mommyem_, then that’s why. And it depends on what you insurance covers. You may can get one sooner but will have to pay after pocket

@nomli that's what I thought as well. I can feel her moving but I want to see how big she has gotten and my fear is to get an ultrasound so late and the gender be wrong. I'll definetaly ask for a sooner ultrasound

@mommyem_, oh yeah, I had just done the blood test too for that. They said it wasn't as reliable as the scan but I couldn't afford both 😩

Yeah, 28 weeks seems an odd time. Definitely ask. Every doctor is different but I thought the ultrasound schedule was the same for every normal pregnancy.

@nomli I Found Out The Gender And Down Syndrome with the blood test at 13 weeks. But didn't get an ultrasound. I asked when my next would be and he said 28 weeks and I thought that was far into the pregnancy given I'd deliver 12 weeks after.. everyone I know is getting there second at 20 weeks..

I thought the next one was the 20 week anatomy scan. And wasn't there another one usually at 13 weeks for down syndrome? I skipped that scan because I didn't have insurance at the time so I'm not really sure what it entails.
