So I follow a group on Facebook for moms and first time moms, there’s a debate on there on people checking their own cervix.. has anyone done that? I can’t imagine doing it myself and knowing if I made progress but maybe that’s just me 🤷🏻♀️

I personally wouldn’t. Why risk getting an infection? I refused the doctor doing them until I was in labor my last pregnancy.

I couldn’t imagine being 9 months pregnant and getting my hand down and in there 😂 I had struggles even shaving couldn’t imagine trying to get in there too! Good lord

Tbh, I had my husband check mine because I was sent home from the hospital the first time even though I was having contractions. My labor was 34 hours long though and most of it was at home, so it was good to know when I was dilated enough to go back to the hospital. I didn’t wanna be sent home twice! Plus, my water never broke until the doctor broke it. There was no complications for me at least? 🤷🏻♀️
