How many people did you have in the hospital room while giving birth and why? I know every hospital is different with how many people you're aloud to have I'm just curious, I feel like for myself when it comes that time I'm only going to have up to two people if that. I just feel like it's a really emotional and intimate moment that should just be focused on the baby and not a lot of chatter between people in the room.

It was supposed to be hubby and I but baby was coming so no time for my mom to leave so she was in as well

Both times I had the father my bio mom and my sister. With my first my sister was my labor coach. With my second she sat in a chair in the corner. Not sure why she was there o.o probably cause baby boy started crowning before she could leave.

With my I had my mom my sister and baby father.
This time around it will most likely just be my boyfriend and my sister I agree it is a intimate person and shouldn't allow a whole bunch of people.

I know this is an older post (just came up on my feed) but I was going to add that here in Indy at the Community location I am delivering it also depends on the type of birthing you want. I am doing natural with no meds and will be up moving more, because of that they ask for only 2 extras if at all possible so I have my hubby and initially it was just going to be him but I decided to also have my best friend who is a professional photographer be in the room as well to get photos of our little guy right when he is born, with the cord cutting etc. So definitely talk to your OB and the hospital (they will likely tell you during the tour, I haven't done mine yet).
