This beautiful little princess is my daughter. She was born to soon at 28weeks and 3 days! Weighing a tiny 2lb 8oz then dropping to 2lb 1oz, as she gained weight and came off the ventilator, cpap and oxygen in intensive care we moved into special care the room before home. As she grew for months in her tiny incubator it was soon time to put her in a proper cot!! It was going so well and it felt amazing to be able to pick my baby up all by myself! Then on the 25th February my little miracle got really sick she was projectile vomiting,had a swollen stomach, whimpering in pain and her temperature was sky high I got the doctor to take a look at her and she said "she's just got wind" and I knew it wasn't true and there was something drastically wrong! As I fought for my daughter to be checked over properly the doctors insisted she was fine! When it was time to leave and go home I was scared to leave her alone even though she had the nurses I just knew some thing wasn't right! At 6am in the morning on the 26th February I got a phone call from the neonatal unit telling me that my little girl is getting rushed to theatre because they've done an x-ray and found dead parts of bowel! My daughter had (NEC) a condition where an infection kills a portion of the bowels, the nurses asked how quickly we could get in because it was spreading and she's fighting for life right now so we went in straight away! They told be there was quite a high chance that my baby may not come back from theatre and all I could do is sob... as she laid on the surgical cot not moving, with all the wires and ventilator and no clothes my heart broke into a million pieces this was the scariest day of my life. I walked her down to the theatre doors and the nurse turned looked at me and put her head down then said "this is as far as you can go" and I broke down I cried and cried as I walked back to sit by her cot. All I kept thinking is I was going to lose my baby... after 3 hours of waiting my baby was back from theatre!! And after months of recovery with a stoma bag in place and 82 days in the neonatal unit she is now on full bottle feeds, no wires at all not even a sats monitor and weighing a chunky 6lb 1oz!! She is due for her bowels reversed on the 25th of this month and should be home beginning of may!!

What a miracle my little fighter is!!♡
