So I came across a “mom question” about a woman who was breastfeeding her 3yr old toddler and now had a 6 week old and the let down was really painful as wanted to know how to fix it. .. and all I thought was, “moms still breastfeed at 3yrs old??” Im not against breastfeeding at all but I wanna know, what’s the longest you have breastfed and why cuz I honestly have never heard of people breastfeeding for so long.

It’s Only Weird Or Different To People In America Honestly.. Other Countries Are ALL For It.. If I Wouldn’t Of Had Complications With My First, I’d Definitely Aim For Age 2, But I’m Trying Again With This Baby I’m Pregnant With. It’s Sooo Beneficial For Mom & Baby &’ The Bond Is Incredible!

My sis breastfed her son until 2 1/2 she wanted to keep the bond so her baby would be attached to her and not want to go to anybody else lol. It worked though. He's 4 and a true mommas boy. She's breastfeeding her daughter she's 1 yr 4 months And plans to do it that long again.

I breastfeed my first two tell they were 6 months and my third till he was 4 years old and with my youngest I planning on 2 years... now the reason I breastfeed my first two for only 6 months was was because I was young and didn’t know much then with my third I was told by his doctor and others that he will stop when he was ready and then he turn 4 and just stopped. After 1 - 1 1/2 it was mostly for comfort though. I don’t plan on breastfeeding that long this time.

It’s only like that here in the US. In Europe the average to stop breastfeeding is 2-3.
My daughter is almost 3 and she still nurses for nap time and bedtime. And sometimes if she gets hurt really bad. There’s still tons of benefits to breastfeeding even at 2-3 yrs old.
